Update!

First of all thanks to all that have been supporting us. This past couple of weeks have been wonderful for many reasons. Of course the best one is that Ronnies recovery has been outstanding. What a huge relief we have all felt. She is walking and talking much stronger now. Her lungs are doing great.

Tonight we are all getting together to make bracelets at Ronnies. Thank you to all for the orders and continued support. Sorry this has to be a short update but at the moment I am stuffing envelopes and licking them. Bleh! I am getting flashbacks of a certain Seinfeld episode. For any Seinfeld fans you know which one I mean:  http://www.seinfeldscripts.com/images/sussan.jpeg

We are thrilled you care so much for Ronnie. Please continue to spread the word!

Love you all!

100 Sales on our Etsy Store!!

Ronnie you are really quite popular! There are people praying for you in Australia now. We owe it all to the kindness of Regretsy! Thank you so much April. Our shop got the boost it needed. I am so excited to know that there are people all around the world wearing a bracelet that promotes random acts of kindness in Ronnie's name.

So Ronnie and I have many plans. We have a bill that will be paid by the end of the week! Thanks to all of your help Ronnie is able to pay off a bill that has been weighing heavy on her. She has been carrying this weight alone and now she does not have to. We shed tears of joy yesterday discussing all of the kindness that has been shown. If you all knew the weight that has been lifted from Ronnie you would shed tears too. I am so proud of her because she is a humble person that is willing to accept this help. She is so worth it!

My hands are cramped from writing out addresses and my tongue is sticky from all the glue I have licked but the bracelets are on there way! Hopefully you all get them in one piece. Please let me know if you do not get them or heaven forbid something breaks!

Ronnie is doing so much better and I think it is just looking up from here! Thanks a million times over if we have not said it enough!

Oh yeah, check out www.Regretsy.com They have a bag on Ebay right now that they are auctioning off for Ronnie!

Thanks April, YOU ARE THE BOMB DIGGITY! (cheesy, I know)

Love you all!

Is it real?

So much to say! Best news though is that Ronnie the Warrior Princess is home! Exclamation points do not express how exciting that is. Sable, Summeur, Cheyanne and I all went to the house to decorate for her home coming. Dollar tree to the rescue. That place has it all. Equipped with cheesy ballons, streamers and sparkly stuff we threw together a not too shabby home coming.

Ronnie got home at around 3:00. I was flashing back to the past month realizing that what I was seeing was real. Ronnie walked out of the car on her own and came through the door. My heart skipped a beat! She is still pretty weak but she has no lack of sassy! We all sat around for hours giggling.

So once again I do have to say.......YAAAY!

Special thanks to www.Regretsy.com (truly amazing!)

We have goals here and we will not stop until they are met!

Love,

In the News

Just a quick update.

Over the weekend the Californian newspaper did an article on our bracelet making and our dear friend Ronnie. It is a wonderful article and we want to thank the Californian for doing the article and putting a bit of positive news out there. We also want to thank Aaron Claverie and Bill Wechter for coming out and actually doing the story and photos.

The article can be read here

Today is the day Ronnie is supposed to be discharged so we will update when that has finally happened. But we have had some concerned emails wanting an update. Ronnie is continuing to get better. They are trying to get her legs strong again and having her start to walk. You can always email us or one of the team members with any questions.

Thanks again

It's Good To Have Connections!!!

Good Morning. I have some good news and more good news. Where should I start? A couple of weeks ago I got some great advice from a sweet gal in the Etsy community. She mentioned a site that could possibly give us some assistance with this whole fund raising thing. I decided to be bold (big shock) and write her an email regarding Ronnie's current state. It really is not hard to sense the desperation in this subject. So I sent it off and waited.

Yesterday I opened my email and to my surprise a reply. It was the reply I had been waiting for. But first a little backround on the site called www.Regretsy.com.

This site is not your typical one. I heard about it through Etsy so I checked it out. Now I will say some of you will frown at this site but it actually helps shops quite a bit. It is very aptly named Regretsy. The content is based on etsy crafts that to the mainstream seem well lets just say odd. I have seen so many items that to a normal person seem bizarre but to the person who made it, it is their brilliant work of art. It is what it is. The founder is so fondly known as Helen Killer. She created the blog and recently released a best selling book based on her findings. I love the name Regretsy. It has a certain ring to it.

So do you want to know about the email? Regretsy blogger Helen Killer wrote me after she had been traveling and said she would help! She will be auctioning off a "Regretsy" purse and giving the proceeds to Ronnie! She feels the pain Ronnie has been experiencing because she to has been struck with this horrible disease. She knows only too well what this is like but she conquered it just like Ronnie. Talk about empathy.

She has more plans to promote Ronnie's cause and is more than willing to help. So a huge thank you goes out to Regretsy!

Ronnie is hoping to get out of the hospital this monday! Let's all pray she does. That place is just gettin' on our nerves. Hospitals have no sense of color coordination at all. The mint green curtains just do not go with our skin tones (that one is for you Cynthia).

So to sum up- Regretsy-Yay! Hospitals- Boo! Is Ronnie coming home? You bet your boots!

Love you all,

Chante'

Progress? I think SO!!

Last night I spent the night with Ronnie. She has been moved from ICU (yay) to the same floor but she is in a little less critical condition. She is doing physical therapy now to get her body back to normal. The simplest of tasks are still very hard for her. After her long day yesterday she was wiped out. Her poor little body is so tired but she is a trooper as we all know.

Now I am not one to complain but I need to take a moment to explain Ronnies current living situation. Talk about your noisy neighbors. Ronnie is next door to the loudest women I have EVER heard. Poor thing is probably approaching her 100th birthday. She is all alone in her room and yelling. Anyways it was a testament to how patient our Ronnie is. I on the other hand was a little, lets say indifferent.

So to sum it all up, RONNIES A COMIN' HOME!! We really appreciate all of the help and support you have given these past couple of days. I am so excited about the newspaper article coming out this week! Make sure you buy the issue from the Californian. It should be coming out Friday or Saturday.

Night friends!

Love,
Chante'

Ronnie is moving on!

Good day to all blog readers. Sunday night was so encouraging. We spent time with our Ronnie and truth be known, she is back! Sassy as ever and rearing to go. For all that visited the hospital this past couple of weeks first of all thank you and secondly it was probably just as hard for you to see her as it has been for me. That darn tube down her throat was driving her crazy. I am sure I speak for all of us when I say I wanted to take it out myself.

Well that part is over now-WOO HOO!

Ronnie is moving on. Two weeks later Ronnie is naturally feeling hungry and she wants some good food. So what do they give her? Only what I can describe as coagulated apple gel junk. Bottom line, disgusting to anyone who has to eat it. We were both tempted to chuck it right out the door but restrained ourselves and I snuck pudding in from the cafeteria. Those poor nurses didn't even see it coming.

By monday I am happy to hear she is now allowed to eat the real stuff. I can only imagine she wants some good home cooking. I know everytime we go out she wants a salad with chicken. Trying to make me look bad! No wonder she stays so trim!

We are so excited about this venture for Ronnie. She is thankful for all the help everyone is giving. Her family is truly touched. Thank you for being the type of friends born in distress. Ronnie is known as everyones friend. I figure that is why so many of you have so willingly opened your heart to her.

The future is bright for us. We all know that. Thank you for sticking "closer than a brother".

Have a wonderful week! Love you all!

So exciting!

We visited Ronnie yesterday and what a difference a week makes. It was the first time we could talk to her an really let her about all the support from random strangers and her friends. She is so excited to hear about the outpouring of help and love.

We have had people buying from the shop the bracelets and even some people donating using this blog. It really is amazing and heart warming. And let us tell you that it is all worth it seeing how happy she is and even moreso to see her doing better in the hospital. She even is getting some of her sassy back and shooting looks toward her sister.

Thank you again for everyone's support. And keep an eye out for the article being written in The Californian newspaper. The reporter is supposed to meet up during one of our bracelet making marathons this week.

Also if you have any suggestions or advice for us to better help Ronnie or spread the word just let us know.

The Bracelets are up

Two pieces of great news.

First: The bracelets are up at the store. We created a couple listings that show examples of what we made. You get a cool random bracelet and get to help Ronnie.

Second: After two weeks in the ICU Ronnie has gone off the ventilator. She's breathing on her own!

Thanks again for all the support.

Bracelets for the cause

Hello Everyone,

To help raise money we have made a ton of bracelets. We have the store open on Etsy to be able to sell them. We are in the process of taking the pictures and creating the listings. If you have any questions you can email us at ronniesheart@gmail.com

Also we will be updating with how Ronnie is doing in the future. We also want to create a gallery. So keep looking for the updates and changes, perhaps subscribing to the rss feed to the right or to twitter.

Thanks again for all your support.

Help Ronnie's Tender Heart

We are a group of friends trying to help our dear friend Ronnie pay off her bills. She has mounting medical bills from fighting leukemia and the many other challenges from life.

Ronnie is one of the kindest warmest and full of life individuals we know. We hate having to see her battle it out in the ICU but knowing that when she gets out she is going to be faced with medical bills, her bill for her truck that broke down right before she went into the hospital and all the other things she cant take care of while she is laid up in the hospital.

Currently we are making little bracelets to sell to raise money. We have setup a shop on Etsy to sell the bracelets. We also setup a paypal donate button, seen to the right. We are trying to do all we can to help her. Fighting Leukemia is already enough to deal with. Hopefully, together, that will still remain the biggest battle.

Thank you very much.

Lets help Ronnie together.
